Polycarbonate Lens

Our polycarbonate sun lenses are made from optical grade tooling producing an extremely consistent lens surface that are the ultimate in quality. These ultra light, shatter-resistant lenses offer 100% protection from UVA and UVB radiation and exceed all ANSI standards for optical clarity and impact-resistance. To top it all off, our lenses are coated with a scratch-resistance hard coating which helps to extend the life and the performance of the lens.

Polarization

Light waves traveling freely can vibrate in any direction; up and down, right to left, diagonally, etc. When light strikes a smooth surface such as water, sand, snow or a pane of glass, it begins to vibrate horizontally or right to left. This horizontal light wave is called glare. A polarizing filter allows only vertical light waves to enter through the lens thus eliminating glare.

TAC Polarized

Our polarized lenses offer 100% protection against UVA and UVB rays and filters out 99% of reflected glare. The final result is enhanced visual acuity and reduced eye fatigue. They provide 100% protection from UVA and UVB radiation in a lightweight, thin material that provides superior impact resistance and optics vs. polycarbonate polarized lens.

Toric Lens

The toric lens is a combination of two optically correct curvatures (horizontally and vertically). This allows for more extreme base wraps without distortion.

CR39

Packing the clearest optics of any lens used today, this lens is the standard to which all lenses have to meet. Used in all of our acetate/ zyl frames.

Decentered Lenses

Viewing area is offset to enhance visual acuity.

Scratch resistant hard coating

Acts as a scratch barrier to protect lenses.

SPECS / FRAME TYPES

Cellulose Proprionate (CP)

CP is an injected, lightweight plastic that can be molded into very intricate designs. It is colored by dyeing under controlled heat and is adjusted by using heat or a wire core.

TR-90

A highly advanced nylon-based material that is uniquely formulated for strength, flexibility and memory retention. TR-90 is extremely light-weight, durable, and and the most technically advanced plastic material on the market today.

Grilamid

Grilamid is one of the highest forms of nylon. It is a lightweight, strong and flexible material used in injection molding. Frames made of Grilamid can be subjected to extreme temperature conditions, take a beating well, and have some memory.

Acetate (Zyl)

Zyl frame material is most commonly used for optical quality frames. Frames (on select frames) made of zyl are handmade and have brilliant finishes. Zyl frames are heavier than other plastic materials, however, they are extremely comfortable. Zyl can be made into any shape and color.

Monel

Monel is a high strength metal alloy that is super resistant to corrosion, especially salt water.

Optical quality barrel hinges

Long lasting smooth open and closing action. Can accept a prescription.

Wire core temples

Temples adjust for a custom fit.
